INTRODUCTION
Atmospheric abstract landscape paintings, inspired by the transient effects of light and weather and the ever-moving, ever-changing nature of sea and sky.
My paintings explore the need for space and pause, both acknowledging our fast-paced world and seeking connection with something more elemental and timeless.

Rather than portraits of places, the paintings are more about distilling a memory of a space and time, with its light, weather and sounds.

About Freya
My journey as an artist started at a young age and I continue to learn every day that I am lucky enough to do this wonderful job.
Born and brought up in Bath, I have a First Class honours degree in Fine Art and have been working and exhibiting as a professional artist since graduating in 2001. Over the last few years I have shown work in London, Cornwall, Bath, York and the Lake District. Now based in Yorkshire, I've painted landscapes from the Himalayas to the Canadian Rockies, though much of my inspiration comes from Britain's own shores. My work can be found in private collections worldwide, and I exhibit regularly across the UK.
